Schools across the United Arab Emirates are celebrating their strongest-ever A Level and BTEC results, with record numbers of students achieving top grades and gaining admission to leading universities worldwide. From Dubai to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, the Class of 2025 has redefined academic excellence.
Brighton College Abu Dhabi reported outstanding achievements, with 17% of grades at A*, 44% at A*–A, and 68% at A*–B. Impressively, 100% of students scored an A* in Computer Science and Art. American student Hannah Aly, who earned four A* grades, credited her success to early preparation, past papers, and flashcards.
Pristine Private School, Dubai saw 91% of A Level results at A*–C, while 68% achieved A*–B. Pakistani student Ashar Ul Hassan, who scored AAA, praised the school’s supportive learning environment.
GEMS Wellington Academy – Silicon Oasis celebrated its best-ever A Level and BTEC results, with students like Maria Aziz Betulwala and Sadhika Satish Gopinathan earning triple Distinction Stars. Both highlighted resilience, hard work, and strong teacher support as the foundation of their success.
According to GEMS Education, 1,999 students sat for 5,379 A Level exams across 22 schools in the UAE and Qatar — the highest in the group’s history.
BTEC Level 3 results also reached new heights, with 412 students — double last year’s number — taking exams. 32% achieved a Distinction Star, and 62% earned either Distinction Star or Distinction.
Education leaders say these 2025 results highlight the UAE’s growing status as an international education hub. With excellence in both A Level and BTEC pathways, students are securing places at top universities in the UK, US, Canada, and beyond.
As schools, families, and students celebrate, this year’s achievements raise the bar for future cohorts — making the UAE Class of 2025 one for the record books.
